Can I take cannabis over the U.S. / Canada border or across state lines?
No. Cannabis use is still illegal under U.S. federal law. It is illegal to transport cannabis into Canada. Cannabis cannot be taken across state lines, yes even to other states where it is legal.
Where can I consume cannabis?
Cannabis consumption is legal for those 21 and older in private locations. In Washington, Initiative 502 states that it is unlawful to open/consume a package of cannabis or cannabis infused products in view of the general public.
